Frequently Asked questions

  • Integrative medicine, not to be confused with holistic medicine, is all about interweaving different modalities. Integrative medicine uses an evidence-based approach to treat the whole person — mind, body and soul. It “integrates” conventional approaches (such as medications and psychotherapy) and complementary therapies (like acupuncture and yoga) to achieve optimal health and healing. The focus is on you as a whole person and not just your illness or disease.

  • While perusing the internet for someone who might fill a gap where your primary care provider often can’t, we are overloaded by people claiming to be experts in this or that, making it extremely hard to discern facts. Most health coaches have no training at all, or possibly an online certification with no degree or authority on which they speak, due to federal regulations being nonexistent.

Along with working in mental health and medical cannabis for almost a decade, psychedelic medicine for four years, in-patient and out-patient compounding pharmacies, and biological research in a lab, I also have a degree in cellular biology, and will be starting medical school soon. With my degree, I have spent years studying anatomy and physiology, immunology, genetics, pathophysiology, histology, microbiology, and even minored in psychology. I understand the need for interweaving different therapies to achieve health, having dedicated my life to the study of medicine, with passion for helping the populations that most need care.
